Billboards stating “Stop Dakota Access Oil Pipeline” are being installed along the proposed pipeline route in South Dakota.

DRA members and fellow Landowners that are being threatened by the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline transporting crude from the Bakken shale that is extremely volatile and contains high levels of combustible gases have begun to place billboards along the proposed route. Landowners are placing these on their properties along highly trafficked areas to let people know that this pipeline threatens not only the farmers and ranchers but all South Dakotans.  The signs read “Stop Dakota Access Oil Pipeline That Will Cross Here! Act Now. Contact the SD PUC at dakotarural.org”.

If you have not yet submitted comments to the SD PUC follow this link. Comments submitted to the PUC help elevate grassroots opposition to the pipeline, and are the only way to voice official opposition prior to the PUC’s hearing that will permit or deny a permit to the Dakota Access Pipeline. All comments will be considered before the Board’s final decision. If you would like to learn more follow this link.
