The Black Hills Chapter of Dakota Rural Action is hosting another presentation on the effects of uranium mining on our local economy, water, and land. Please join them on Thursday, April 11 at 7 pm at the Sturgis Center for the Arts at 1016 Main Street, Sturgis.

 

The teach-in will feature a presentation by geologist Dr. Hannan LaGarry and be moderated by Talli Nauman, an international environmental journalist and Dakota Rural Action member, with time for questions by attendees. The teach-in is open to the public.

 

The Black Hills Chapter is a community-based affiliate of Dakota Rural Action members. The Black Hills Chapter organizes around local food, community, renewable energy, natural resources, sustainable agriculture and land preservation issues.
