Homegrown Sioux Empire is thrilled to be a 2016 host for the Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, and we are bringing it back to Sioux Falls this September 8th at Icon + Events at 6:00 PM.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival works with non-profit groups across the globe to host the film festival as a way to outreach into their communities and bring together a diverse audience. The goal is to use film to inspire activism. Dakota Rural Action hopes to use the festival to increase our community’s understanding of the connection we share with the water, and to showcase all the great work being done in the South Dakota to promote local foods, sustainability, and rural vitality.
